Boys Will Be Boys

This photo is mostly for my dad...who looks a little like the gentleman to the right of The Boy here, now that I am thinking of it.  Friday evening the 14-15 year old boys went with Genius Golfer to visit a welder who lives in our congregation.  Sam is a terrific guy and generous too--as he let the boys come by to do the project they needed to pass off their welding merit badge for Scouts.  The Boy needs just 4 more merit badges and he'll have his silver (and last) palm.  I guess for every 5 merit badges you earn after your Eagle rank, you can earn a palm.  He's done two so far...and the Silver Palm is the highest one you can get.  I had told him since he earned his Eagle at such an early age that I expected him to get the 3 palms too.  Then I'll quit riding his back about Scouts.  It was a deal.
