ex-CUSE me?!

This was a great response to the ridiculous notion that stay-at-home moms don't "work".  Oh, no.  We work.  we work and no one pays us to do it.  We work, and sometimes, no one even notices what we do.  We work, alright.  You'd better believe it.

Here is the deal with this whole kerfuffle.  Ann Romney is a political wife.  Michelle Obama is a political wife.  They love and support their husbands.  But they are NOT the politician.  Why drag their decisions into this political mud slinging?!

Furthermore, why can't people just respect the choices that ANY woman makes for herself and her family?  Is one more right than another?  I happen to believe in agency being a principle of God.  Knowing that we each can choose how we behave and how we act, I am certainly not going to tell someone else their choice to work--or stay home with this children--is wrong.  The only thing we can say for sure that is right or wrong have to do with moral issues--lying, cheating, stealing, etc.  The other things are choices.  Why can't we support every woman and the choices she makes for her family?

OK?  Moving on, now.

All Because Two People Fell in Love

The best part of our anniversary is realizing that because we married, and were sealed in the temple, we have the potential to live together forever. THAT is a tremendous blessing.

Here's to the next twenty years.

Let's Get It Started...

I had to include a shot that really showed just how very 1992 this day was.  Look at the dress.  Need I say more?  But the cake kind of backs up my claim that we were married at the end of the 80s and early 90s.  But it was a fun day and lots of good memories, still, from that day.  Even if one of them was my sister flipping everyone off during dinner the night before.    Good times.  That is what family is all about.

It's been fun, that is for sure.

Once Upon a Time...

This is one of my favorite wedding pictures of us.  First, because we look as young and innocent as we were.  And second because the wind was blowing--we were on the roof of the Oakland LDS temple, overlooking the San Francisco bay where the wind regularly blows--and we didn't even care.  We were married, and that was all that mattered that day.

It is still all that matters.  And because of that day, we have a terrific family with two beautiful kids and a promise of eternity together.  Not too bad, considering how dumb we were when we started.

Happy Anniversary, Genius Golfer!  I love you and our life together.

First Comes Love....

Nearly ten years ago, here we were.  The whole fam-damily downtown celebrating our local Strawberry Days.  These old-timey photos just crack me up.  I mean, look at The Boy's face.  Precious I tell you.

Twenty years, and two marvelous kids later, here we are.  Me and Genius Golfer.  Who'd have thought?

2 Crazy Kids

So photogenic...NOT!  But this was just the two of us off the Great Barrier Reef.  Our first Scuba experience.  It was 2001. What a brilliant trip and a wonderful way to immediately convert to Scuba.

Genius Golfer and I are off this week on a Honeymoon Do-Over...celebrating twenty years of wedded bliss.  So for my posts this week, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite older photos of us with all of you.

Twenty years sure went by in a hurry.  Love you, GG.  You're the BEST!
