I thought I'd share a few little thoughts over the next couple of days...or until my headache eases.

Not Again...

I woke up this morning with a killer tension headache.  Again.  I was even up in the night to find the special Chiropractic pillow from a car accident years ago....but that didn't help.  I have learned from previous experience that I cannot take the much wanted Excedrin for tension headaches--or any Excedrin, for that matter--on an empty stomach.  the stomach being empty lowers the chances of puking from the headache.  It is a classic Catch 22.

Maybe if I stumble tot he kitchen and slurp down some yogurt, it will be enough to coat my stomach's insides and then I can take the drugs.

There has got to be a better way to wake up.

Did you ever hear the Seinfeld routine about headaches and finding medicine for it?   I recommend that.  It is funny.  But please don't make me laugh, yet.

First Day of School--The Boy

The Boy went back to school yesterday, without me.  He's a Junior this year. I am a Help-from-home parent volunteer, and a nearly full time worker.  Darn it.  He's off to a great start...

 YES, you have to take the First Day of school photo!  What kind of mom would I be if I forgot, again?!?

Here was my day Monday:

Loading the car to get The Girl to Logan...

 This STILL wasn't all that she took to school....but I was getting tired of waiting on her to get it to the car....

 You'd think she'd be a LITTLE more excited!

 That is a little better, but not much...

Her name tag on the door to her actual room... 

 

 Her is the pile of stuff she now needs to find places for...

And here are the places she has to fill up with stuff.  I'm sure it'll work out...but that was  alot of stuff for part of one room.

She is well on her way to a great university experience.  She is making good friends with her roommates, at least the ones she has met so far.  But after knowing all summer which weekend she was planning on moving to Logan--she chose the weekend--she still forgot her tampons (I had bought her two new big Costco size boxes) and her contacts (also got a new Rx and ordered enough for 6 months...) and a jacket of any kind (she was the one who picked Logan, for Pete's sake.  It does get cold there!)  Luckily I have a darling young adult friend in my ward here that will be going up on Saturday and will transport for The Girl.
