PCMC Radio-A-Thon

This week the local talk radio station has held its annual radio-a-thon for Primary Children's Medical Center.  They raise money for the charity care that the hospital does year round.  It is a marvelous hospital and they make miracles happen for kids all over the intermountain west.  Throughout the day the radio shares stories of the patients and their families to encourage the rest of us to give generously.

If I were a lottery winner, this would be one of the places I'd spend that money!

We are lucky to have this facility close to us.  I love the concept that they turn away NO child regardless of their ability to pay.  The program, like the Festival of Trees--which, if you have read my blog long you know, I LOVE--fund that charitable care.  And they can only do it with help from all of us.

Just You Wait, 'Enry 'Iggins, Just You Wait!

Just a plug for our local High School performances this week of My Fair Lady.  Genius Golfer and I went last night and thought it was quite a cute little show.  Well, not exactly little--it runs 2 hours 45 minutes (including the 10 minute intermission).  It is a Lerner and Lowe musical, after all.

If you are a local, head over to see it.  After listening to the Professional Learning Community team of the performing arts department at our HS, I loved seeing the results of their collaboration and the cooperation it takes to get that many high school students to pull of such an ambitious show.

Plus, I love the Opening Day at Ascot scene!
