The kids have a few days off for Fall Break. But that just means The Boy has football at 8 AM today, The Girl has an appointment to talk with an academic adviser at the University of Utah just after lunch, and Genius Golfer and I are working at the cannery for a few hours today.
Not much of a break, but a change is as good as a rest. At least that is what they say. We'll see if that is true this weekend.

Another View
Monday I spent a few hours up the canyon taking photos of our now-surely-snow-covered fall foliage. It was lovely with very vivid reds and oranges and yellows. I took a byway to Casade Springs this time and then the cross county road from there into Midway where I discovered myself at Soldier Hollow before heading back down Provo Canyon from around Deer Creek reservoir. It was a lovely drive.
Taking a bit of inspiration from Pioneer Woman's ranch views from her truck's side mirror, I rather enjoyed this shot. See the back side of Timp? See the beautiful colors both forward and backward? Of course, you must remember, things in the reflection are closer than they appear. The elevation must have got to me.
It might be time for a new hobby. Aside from just entertaining myself, I have an obsessive compulsive tendency to make cards with these prints from excursions like this. I think I need an intervention. In the meantime, I'll continue to entertain myself, and bore the living daylights from you.
