This weekend, I got to drive to pick up four scouts in our neighborhood from Timberline. Timberline is a Youth Leadership camp they were able to attend. That would be The Boy in the striped hoodie.
Then for the Fourth of July, we got together with our cousins, where Genius Golfer led the way in pyrotechnics. Some things never change: Boys like to blow things up.
Today, The Girl and The Boy and I had reservations to tour the Oquirrah Mountain Temple open house. What a beautiful temple. Halfway through the tour, I realized that the group in front of us was a family I knew growing up. I recognized the voice of the mom, now the grandmother of the group. It was The Smurthwaite family. Brother and Sister S and their eldest daughter Sherri and two younger brothers and an assortment of grandkids. What a crazy small world the church makes for us!
Oh yes. That is The Boy and The Girl in the wind-blown flowers in front of the temple.
OK. One week of July down. Three and a half to go. But what a jam packed 3 and a half it is! I'll keep you posted!

Did the boy like timberline?
What a small world. My parents and me were just talking about the Smurfwaites last night. We were talking about TPing their house and the cops catching us. Charlie told them it was his house and of course they didn't believe him so they went to the door. Bro. S answered said "yep, that's my kid" and went back to bed.
